🇬🇷 Όλα ξεκίνησαν το 1947 από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, όταν ο παππούς Σαββίκος γυρνούσε με το καροτσάκι του στην πόλη και πουλούσε εκλεκτό σουβλάκι στα ξυλοκάρβουνα. Το σουβλάκι αυτό, ήταν τόσο εκλεκτό, που η γεύση και η μυρωδιά κατέκλυζε τις γειτονιές από στόμα σε στόμα και από γωνιά σε γωνιά. Η πίστη στην παράδοση και τις αυθεντικές συνταγές παραμένουν μέχρι και σήμερα ως οδηγός της οικογένειας. Νωπά κρέατα που ψήνονται την ώρα της παραγγελίας σε ξυλοκάρβουνα, χειροποίητες συνταγές, ποικιλία σε sauces και χαρακτηριστικά πιάτα, όπως γυρλού, ναργκίς, μαρακές, μπιφτεκάκια γαλοπούλας και πρόσφατα η ρολλέτα από διαλεχτό χοιρινό που ψήνεται για 6 ολόκληρες ώρες σερβίρονται στα πέντε καταστήματα της Θεσσαλονίκης και τα δύο της Κύπρου και έχουν δημιουργήσει πιστούς φίλους.
🇬🇧 SAVVIKOS / WELL-DESERVED REPUTATION WITH 70 YEARS OF TRADITION – Everything started in Thessaloniki back in 1947, when the grandfather of the restaurant’s owners, Savvikos, was selling fine quality barbecued meat skewers with his cart around the city. Thanks to its delicious and exquisite meat, his reputation started to grow all over Thessaloniki and people started talking about him. Loyalty to tradition and genuine recipes are the cornerstone elements and the family’s motto today. Fresh meat that is grilled on-the-spot, homemade recipes, a large variety of sauces and signature dishes, such as “gyrlou”, “nargis”, “marakkesh”, turkey meatballs and pork stuffed roll, which is cooked for 6 hours. Savvikos serves its loyal customers in Thessaloniki at five restaurants and in Cyprus at two restaurants.
